Garin Nugroho, a prominent Indonesian director, again explores his creativity. He is well-known for his off-mainstream and artistic movies. Now, he directs a musical drama entitling ‘Drama Musik Diana ‘ (loosely translated, ‘Diana, The Musical Drama’), a drama based on songs of Koes Plus, a legendary band from Indonesia.
Nugroho, as a director, will work together with Yockie Suryoprayogo, the music director, and Eko Supriyanto, the coreographer. Bre Redana and Agus Noor has the role to write the script.
Why Koes Plus? As Redana said, “Koes Plus is a part of social history in Indonesia.”
