You May Hardly Read This Week’s Tempo Magazine

Hot news in Indonesia is Tempo weekly magazine, a prominent and reliable Indonesian magazine, issued this week’s edition with the headline “Fat Bank Accounts of Police Officers‘ and suddenly some mysterious men reportedly bought 30,000 copies to prevent its distribution.

According to, Mr Saragih, one of Tempo distribution agents, said that the magazines were bought on Monday (28/6) since 4 AM.

It is mentioned on Tempo that there are six officers allegedly having suspicious fat bank accounts. Tempo covered the news based on the result analysis from The Centre of Transaction Report and Analysis, a government institution.

If it all were true, that magazines were reportedly gone, the fat accounts and all, how nice to live as police officers 🙂
